Ryan’s practice focuses on wills and trusts, estate planning and the related areas of taxation, special needs planning, and business law. 

Ryan grew up in Mebane, North Carolina. He graduated from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in 2011, earning a Bachelor of Music in classical guitar performance. While in school, he won first prize in the Euterpe Music Club of Greensboro Music Scholarship Competition and was a soloist in the Winston-Salem Symphony. Upon graduation, he spent several years teaching and performing music before deciding to attend law school. In 2017, Ryan earned his law degree from the Emory University School of Law where he served as a Managing Editor of the Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal. Ryan practiced in Winston Salem before joining the firm in 2019.

Ryan is a member of the North Carolina and Durham Bar Associations and the Durham/Orange Estate Planning Council. Ryan enjoys playing music in his spare time. He and his wife are avid hikers.
