Tony graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1991 with a Bachelors of Urban Planning. He earned his law degree from the University of North Carolina in 1998 and has practiced in the Durham Chapel Hill area since then. He focused his practice on estate and trust planning and administration, as well as the related areas of special needs planning, elder law, taxation law, and business law. Tony is a Board Certified Specialist in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the North Carolina State Board of Legal Specialization, as well as an Accredited Attorney for Veterans Benefits by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Tony is a member of many committees and organizations related to estate planning including the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, North Carolina Bar Association (Sections on Estate Planning and Fiduciary Law; Elder Law; Pro Bono Committee) and the American Bar Association (Section on Real Property, Probate and Trust Law). He is the current Treasurer of the Durham-Orange Estate Planning Council and serves on the Human Rights Committee of the ARC or Orange County, North Carolina.
